They will have one or two representatives at the Conference to answer questions, help with registration, and handle tours. When you are ready to register for the Conference, you can go to the TPI website by clicking on the “ON-LINE REGISTRATION” link on the left panel. | Meals |
Meals included with the Conference registration include a Welcome Luau on Monday, July 5th, Full Buffet Breakfast on Wednesday, July 7th, and the combined AE Scholarship & Awards Banquet that night. | Transportation |
Non-stop flights are available from major airports to Kona (KOA) through Hawaiian, American, US Airways, Alaska and United Airlines. More flights are available with a one-stop going through Honolulu. Contact TPI if you would like to have them arrange discounted airfares for you.
Many rental car agencies are located at the airport with shuttle service to their offices.
If not renting a car, taxis may be available, or you may reserve a shuttle ride by calling SpeediShuttle at 1-877-242-5777 or on-line at speedishuttle.com. Current rates (subject to change) for one-way vary from $33.57 for 1 person to $49.05 total for 6 persons (airport & sales tax included, but not gratuity), so it would make sense to get a group together to save money. Booking return trips at the same time saves 10% off the trip back to the airport. |
| Local Weather Considerations |
KONA WEATHER
Expect high temperatures of mid-80s to lows of mid-60s for early July. Humidity is usually between 50% and 80%. Kona gets most of its rainfall in the summer afternoons and evenings. Umbrellas and light rainproof windbreakers are the most that you need.
